Public Programs at the Academy

Public Programs are a vital component of the Pennsylvania Academy's educational mission. The Academy staff has designed superb programming that reaches out annually to 16,000 visitors of all ages, sharing the outstanding resources of the Academy, its collection and its top-level fine arts curriculum.

Continuing education courses for adults, high school studio programs, lectures and seminars are just a few of the ways individuals can pursue their artistic dreams at the nation's oldest museum and school of fine arts. The popular Family Workshops and Children's Camps provide an enjoyable way to learn through art.  Teacher Programming offers educators ways to incorporate art into everyday subjects, broadening the minds of their students and helping them to develop their creativity. Community Programs such as Lost Dreams on Canvas address important social issues, offering artistic responses designed to build awareness and work toward solutions.
