The Potamkin Collectors Society
is a new membership group formed in memory of Academy benefactors and
famous Philadelphia art collectors, Vivian and Meyer (Pat)
Potamkin. Its mission is to educate collectors, both seasoned and
emerging, about American art, the art of collecting, and the great work
of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Members will
receive all of the benefits of an Academy member and will also be
invited to participate in three major events per year, which can
include lectures by experts in the curatorial and collection fields,
tours of other museums and private collections, workshops and seminars
on American art and collecting, and private receptions. In
addition, a portion of all membership dues will be used to purchase
artwork for the Academy's collection.
This group is designed for collectors of all ages, both emerging and established. Annual membership dues are as follows:
Potamkin Collectors Society Members: $750
Young Collectors (under 40 years of age): $350
