International Classes Abroad

The Academy regularly conducts international study programs for artists seeking to broaden their artistic vision and encourage new ways of "seeing." Generally held over two weeks, students in the past have traveled to Kenya, the Netherlands, Peru, Ireland and Italy. Classes average six hours daily and can be counted as 2.0 credits towards an undergraduate degree. Classes are kept small and conducted by a member of the Academy's teaching faculty. International groups in the past have included extensive one-on-one teaching supervision and active art-making, as well as trips to cultural sites, museums, artist's studios and other significant cultural attractions.
