Group Tours

Experience drama, beauty, mystery, romance and adventure on a guided tour of the Pennsylvania Academy. Knowledgeable and personable guides reveal the fascinating stories hidden in four centuries of American paintings, sculptures and works on paper.

Guides discuss the history of the Academy and its spectacular Historic Landmark Building, a testament to the genius of architects Frank Furness and George W. Hewitt. The Museum's intimate and accessible galleries are ideal for adults, seniors and students in college and grades K-12.

Just across Cherry Street is the Academy’s new Samuel M.V. Hamilton Building. Visit the Lenore and Walter Annenberg Gallery and see works from the Academy’s permanent collection by modern and contemporary artists such as Leon Golub, Jim Nutt, Robert Ryman, H.C. Westermann, Alice Neel, Betye Saar, and Adolf Gottlieb, just to name a few. In addition, the Luce Foundation American Sculpture Center offers the opportunity to view a remarkable collection of American sculpture.
