Pennsylvania Academy celebrates continued partnership

with U.S. Trust

A Commitment to the Arts

Since 2001, U.S. Trust has provided support for important Academy initiatives. As presenting sponsor of The Chemistry of Color: The Harold A. and Ann R. Sorgenti Collection of Contemporary African-American Art, U.S. Trust was one of the Academy’s early supporters of the 200th Anniversary Celebration. Now U.S. Trust has extended their commitment to the Academy by serving as the presenting sponsor for 2005 and 2006 Bacchanal!, the Academy’s Annual Wine Gala and Auction. Bacchanal! truly benefits the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, providing support for its wonderful student body, at both undergraduate and graduate levels. It features a wide range of activities, from tastings and dinners, to a silent auction and the grand live auction.

“U.S. Trust is honored to partner with the Pennsylvania Academy community,” said Anne K. Surrett, division president of U.S. Trust Pennsylvania and Academy Trustee. One of the Pennsylvania Academy’s leading benefactors, U.S. Trust has been committed to the arts for over 150 years and celebrates a long-standing tradition of community outreach and philanthropic activity.

“U.S. Trust has been a marvelous friend of the Academy and we are delighted with their most recent demonstration of support,” said Derek Gillman, Academy President and the Edna S. Tuttleman Director.
