It’s that time of year again: The much-anticipated Annual Student Exhibition and Sale is back, May 10 through June 2, 2013.
Showcasing more than 1,000 paintings, sculptures, works on paper and installations created by PAFA students, the 112th Annual Exhibition presents a diversity of styles that combine traditional skill and students’ contemporary visions.
Keeping with tradition, this year’s exhibition will kick off with a Preview Party hosted by PAFA’s Women’s Board on Thursday, May 9, from 4-8:30 p.m. with a Public Reception planned for Friday, May 10, 2013.
In addition to its role as an exhibition and sale, the event also represents a competition for dozens of distinguished prizes and awards, including the Caldwell Purchase Prize, in which a work by a graduating student is selected for purchase by the museum and inclusion in PAFA’s permanent collection.
