As Senior Vice President of Development, Louisa Hanshew oversees a staff of 13 and directs the Pennsylvania Academy’s capital campaign, develop short and long-term fundraising strategies, identify and cultivate prospective donors, and serve as the vital link between the institution and its Board of Trustees.
Hanshew comes to the Academy from Dunleavy & Associates of Blue Bell, PA, where she served as a senior member of the staff, the Acting Vice President of Development for the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, and was involved with the School District of Philadelphia’s Microsoft School of the Future, the Pennsylvania Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, and the LEAD 25th Anniversary Celebration. Hanshew has also served as Vice President of Development for the Devereux Foundation; Director of Development for the Methodist Hospital Foundation; Director of Development/Annual Fund for Albert Einstein Healthcare Foundation; Centennial Coordinator, Director of Individual Giving, Director of Annual Giving, and Assistant Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations for Drexel University; Director of Corporate Giving for Hahnemann University; and Director of Development for the Pennsylvania Ballet.
In addition to her experience, Hanshew has also been involved with the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the American Marketing Association, the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, and Who’s Who of American Women.
Hanshew holds a bachelor of science degree from Drexel University and is also a candidate for a master of science degree. |
