The Academy Certificate Program
The four-year Certificate program is the most historic of the academic programs at the Pennsylvania Academy. In the first two years, students receive a traditional atelier-style training in painting, drawing, sculpture and printmaking. Under the mentorship of master artists, students take classes in cast drawing, life drawing and painting, anatomy, color, still life, figure modeling, perspective, etching, woodcut and art history.
The Academy Bachelor of Fine Arts Program
As the newest member of the Academy family of programs, the Academy BFA is a 126-credit program given exclusively by the Academy. Liberal arts classes will join the world-famous studio program and will permit the transfer of credits from community colleges and 4-year institutions, as well as AP and CLEP advanced standing.
The Coordinated Bachelor of Fine Arts Program with the University of Pennsylvania
Since 1929, the Pennsylvania Academy and the University of Pennsyvania have cooperatively offered a unique educational combination of nationally renowned studio art training and Ivy League academics.

The Academy Master of Fine Arts Program
