CE Community Scholarships NEW!

PAFA Continuing Education is pleased to present the CE Community Scholarship to students who demonstrate dedication to their art. Partial tuition scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis on the basis of need and merit. The application deadline is Friday, August 27. For an application, click here.

Art Tour of Istanbul, November 23 through 30 - Enjoy Turkey this Thanksgiving! Explore the art and architecture of Istanbul guided by Shane Stratton, PAFA’s own Fulbright Senior Scholar-in-Residence in Turkey.

Drawing/Painting and Sculpture Classes for High School Students on Saturdays - Ideal for young artists who want to further their skills and develop a strong portfolio under the tutelage of professional PAFA faculty.

Figure Painting/Collage Workshop with Visiting Artist Ken Kewley, November 6 and 7 - Rejuvinate your work with an infusion of vibrant color while exploring collage, painting and mixed media with renowned artist Ken Kewley.

Visit the Vaults with Bill Scott and Stuart Shils - Join painters Bill Scott and Stuart Shils, along with PAFA Registrar Gale Rawson as they explore the PAFA vaults to analyze some little know treasures from PAFA's vast collection.

Informed Perception: An Objective Approach to Aesthetic Appreciation with William Perthes - An introductory course in objective art appreciation utilizing the PAFA collection, the Philadelphia Museum of Art and public artwork around the city, using the educational methods developed by John Dewey, Dr. Albert C. Barnes and Violette de Mazia.
