Description:
This installation of the permanent collection includes a dynamic group of paintings and works on paper by artists who explored the possibilities posed by working with abstraction. Twenty-six objects dating from the 1950s through 2005 are included. Highlights include recent acquisitions of paintings by Kevin Finklea, Neysa Grassi, Stephen Greene, and Clarence Morgan, a large selection of original works on paper by Robert Motherwell, major works of Op Art by Edna Andrade, Richard Anuszkiewicz, Julian Stanczak and Henry Pearson, works on paper by Franz Kline and Mark Rothko, plus major works by Barry Goldberg, Lee Krasner, Conrad Marca-Relli, and Elizabeth Osborne.
